I'm Kara. I'm the owner and designer behind Rainbow Print Co. I'm a 30 something gal from Ohio who identifies as bisexual/pansexual/queer and who always gets excited to find LGBTQ+ inclusive products at local small shops, big box stores, or even in the targeted ads that pop up on my Instagram feed.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Communication Management and am currently working on earning my MBA. I'm interested in graphic design, video editing, exploring the world with my partner, cuddling with our cats, eating (not cooking) vegan food, and binge-watching tv shows with queer characters. I also teach mediation courses and oversee the LGBTQ+ Center at the university where I work.

I created Rainbow Print Co in 2020 after dreaming about it for years. When I married my partner in 2018, it was frustrating for us to navigate through the cis-heteronormativity of wedding culture. We did find a few inclusive gems that we purchased as decor for our big day, and we also ordered some fun custom items through Etsy, but I felt like there just wasn't enough LGBTQ+ specific stuff out there. I was so excited to marry my partner and we wanted to feel seen and celebrated!

My mission with Rainbow Print Co is to create art and accessories that represent and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and all of our unique and beautiful identities, relationships, and families. LGBTQ+ visibility and inclusion are important to me. I hope you can find something here that makes you feel good!
